## Results
- **30+**: Active users.
- **1,000+**: Skills saved and reused.
- **45+**: Projects powered by it.
- **MCP**: The open standard it’s built on.

## The situation
Everything a team learns about how to do its own work ends up scattered across chats and documents, and none of it is available at the moment an AI tool is doing the work. Instill was built to fix that, first for internal use.

## What was built
Instill holds skills, agents, rules, memory, and knowledge in one library, versions them, and serves them over the open MCP standard to compatible AI tools.

An AI tool with MCP support can connect to the library through its configuration. The shared knowledge stays in one place as people change tools.

## The result
It launched in the first quarter of 2026 and now serves 30+ active users, with 1,000+ skills saved and 45+ projects powered by it.
